General presentation of the library:
The university library is one of the scientific and cultural institutions and facilities that can play a prominent role in the development of societies by developing scientific research through providing effective services to its beneficiaries.
According to the digital developments witnessed by the knowledge society today, it has become necessary to comply with the changes of the era. After it was a storehouse of books, it now has to save, classify, catalog, analyze, submit and disseminate books to benefit people with information needs. It is the heart and essence of the university and it occupies a primary and central place because it serves all the functions of the university of education and research as well as creating new knowledge and the transfer of science and knowledge and the culture of past and future generations.
Creation and Development of the Library of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences:
The Library of the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the University of 08 May 1945 was inaugurated in Qalameh. As soon as the College was inaugurated in 2003, the library is administratively affiliated with the Deanship of the College and provides its library services to more than 2700 students of all levels and disciplines studied at the college. It consists of 7,040 titles, including 1276 titles in French and 6263 titles in Arabic. These titles are available in more than 31,281 copies, of which 4725 are in French and 26,556 in Arabic.

Building:
The library is located at the Sujdani Bujma'a complex, with an area of about 1050 m². The library occupies a distinguished position within the college, surrounded by green spaces, and is offset by the chair of the college, bordered on the left and right by two terraces with terraces and study sections.
